Email marketing is direct marketing a commercial message to a group of people using email. Email Marketing is the backbone of any online business.
For a big business company or a blogger, it’s important to choose a better email marketing software. When the matter comes around to choosing one software, the question could start Aweber v’s Mailchimp? Aweber or Mailchimp?
A Brief Overview of Aweber
Aweber service is used by by over 120,000+ small businesses, bloggers and entrepreneurs around the globe. Since Tom Kulzer founded AWeber in 1998, many bright, creative problem-solvers have joined the team in Chalfont, PA.
A Brief Overview of MailChimp
MailChimp has more users compared to Aweber. MailChimp founded in 2001 has 7 million users that collectively send over 10 billion emails through the service each month.
Free Plan?
Like any persons, i would like to try the service for free. MailChimp free plan lets you have 2000 subscribers in your list and send them 12000 emails.
On the other hand, Aweber does not have. If you opted Aweber, you can try their service for free for one month, from next month you need to pay $19. Your free trial includes all the email marketing features Aweber to have.
SignUp Forms?
No doubt about that, MailChimp is better in my view. MailChimp is particularly easy to use, a great service for beginners. MailChimp is optimized for mobile, so you don’t need to worry about the structure of your form.
Aweber too had some good SignUp forms. But in this matter, MailChimp is the winner.
User interface
Both Aweber and Mailchimp had a good user interface, but honestly Aweber is much better. Aweber provides a more professional outlook, that’s really easy to use.
Design Tools
MailChimp’s editing process for emails is also incredibly easy, if you have basic knowledge in web designing. You can use the built-in photo editor to tweak your images on MailChimp.
Aweber is also easy to use. You just need to choose a template that is mobile friendly already. Personally users found editing and customizing is very simple on Aweber.
Analytics
Analytics is a really important matter to know how your subscribers are responding to your newsletter. How many people got your letter, how many opened, how many clicked and a lot of questions.
Aweber wins on this. Aweber’s email tracking is really better compare to MailChimp. With Aweber, you can easily track who opened your letter, who clicked and when. MailChimp is not bad in Anlytics, but Aweber wins the race.
Better AutoResponders?
Both Aweber and MailChimp offers an easy way to set up a series of follow up emails.
Pricing
MailChimp lets you have 2000 subscribers in your list and send them 12000 emails, but Aweber doesn’t offer any free services. Aweber becomes cheaper when we compare with MailChimp in number of subscribers, features, etc.
Conclusion
If you want to use for free (for limited users), or in a limited budget better to go with MailChimp. If you have no limited budgets and ready to spend few more dollars on email marketing you can try Aweber.
