How to fix the Error The Processing of Group Policy Failed
Go to DC in location 1 and access the following path.
C:WindowsSYSVOLsysvoldomaintPolicies and access the files which is mentioned in the error .
in your case it is {31B2F340-016D-11D2-945F and copy that file to DC in location 2 and run Gpupdate.
Ensure that the DNS resolution is working properly. Also, test browsing to other DC’s.
